What can you expect
In 10 days you will visit places, only few people have been. One of them leads you to the Eye of Africa – a wonder like no other. Another stage passes Ben Amera, the second biggest monolith of the world. The fact that you can visit this (sandy) country on a light enduro bike is very special. Many travellers have passed this forgotten country on a motorcycle. But few were able to visit Mauritania because of the weight of their motorcycle. With us you will visit places few riders/travellers were able to pass and you will visit one the last countries where you still can ride the real Sahara. The vastness is truly unreal. With two 4x4’s and sleeping 50% of the nights in tents, it won’t be your classic trip!

Difficulty level
We have specifically designed the Massive Mauritania tour so that every off-road rider with basic experience could join the tour.
Being an organisation with more than 10 years experience, we realise that 10 days of riding is long. The trips itself could be done in 8 days but we have stretched it out to be more accessible for the everyday off-road rider. As we say ourselves: it's an adventure, not a rally!

For safety reasons we also avoid all the big dunes. Our track only crosses smaller and predictable dunes. During the evening there is plenty of time to ride on the bigger dunes close to the camp site. So something for everyone!

Safety
As we've traveled through Mauritania many times ourselves we can guarantee it's 100% safe. During winter time the country is full of overlanders! There are many military checkpoint and in general a lot of military presence without restricting your freedom. This means the country itself takes it seriously that tourists are safe and that they see a bright future for tourism. Unfortunatly the covid pandemic caused a drop in tourism but since then it's been gradually increasing again.
